Service Production Switzerland
AM Production is a Zürich-based service production company for film and photo. We work for international production companies, agencies and brands that shoot in Switzerland, and take care of everything on the ground: locations, permits, crew, castings, equipment, customs and logistics.
Gian-Andrea Albin and David Müller have both lived and worked in the Engadin and St. Moritz for many years. Together we bring more than 30 years of combined production experience from Paris, London, Hamburg and Italy. That combination of deep local alpine knowledge and international production standards is what we offer every project, from small editorial shoots to large-scale campaigns.
What we handle
Production management and consulting. Budgeting, scheduling and cost control from the first treatment to wrap.
Locations and scouting. Location research, scouting, recce photos and location management throughout Switzerland.
Shooting permits. Filming permits with municipalities, cantons, cable car operators, ski resorts and private landowners.
Local crew and production team. Production managers, coordinators, runners and Swiss crew in every department.
Castings. Local talent, extras and specialists.
Equipment. Camera, lighting, grip and vehicles from trusted Swiss rental partners.
Customs and carnets. Temporary import of equipment into Switzerland, which is outside the EU.
Accommodation, transport and catering. Hotels, unit moves, catering on set, even at altitude.
Art buying. For photo productions and campaigns.
Full-service or service production
Some clients bring their own production company and need a reliable local partner. Others want us to produce the entire project. We do both. As service producers we act as your team in Switzerland, with transparent budgets and Swiss precision. As full-service producers we take responsibility for the whole production.
Shooting in the Swiss Alps
Mountains are our home ground. We plan and run shoots at high altitude and in snow: glaciers, ski areas, frozen lakes, mountain passes and remote valleys. That includes access via cable cars and helicopters, safety concepts with mountain guides, and weather contingency plans, because conditions in the Alps change fast.
Our main regions are St. Moritz and the Engadin, Zermatt, Gstaad, the Bernese Oberland, Ticino, and the cities of Zürich, Geneva and Locarno.

Frequently asked questions
Do we need a permit to film in Switzerland?
Usually yes, for public ground, nature reserves, ski resorts and many private locations. Requirements differ by municipality and canton. We handle the applications and the negotiations for you.
Can we bring our own equipment?
Yes. Switzerland is not part of the EU, so equipment needs an ATA carnet or a temporary import declaration. We organise customs clearance at the border or the airport.
How far ahead should we plan a shoot in the Alps?
The earlier, the better. Winter shoots in ski resorts or with helicopters, like any shoot, run better and safer with more lead time. Short notice is often possible; just ask.
Do you work outside Switzerland?
Yes. Our focus is Switzerland and the Alps, but we also produce in neighbouring countries and accompany productions worldwide through our network.
